Here´s a review from a IPSC shooter, who was on a course from SPT.

I received my A-license in the fall of 2007. Not very long after, I got in contact with Lars Hagemann and learned that he offers coaching courses for both experienced and inexperienced IPSC shooters. As many other newbies, I had lots of speed but little precision. As former World Champion Rob Leatham once said: 'You can't miss fast enough to win'.

I had my first lessons with Lars Hagemann in the beginning of 2008, and I have been taking lessons with him on a regular basis since then. He has been able to focus on correcting a selection of my specific faults at each and every session and at the same time teaching me new or improved techniques. While some of my graver faults can be considered corrected, others still need attention. Focus have somewhat changed to include the tips and tricks of the trade. At my beginner level, we focused on the basics and just getting the hits, now we focus more on the fact that time spent after the 'BEEP' while not shooting is time wasted. From my first to my latest session, I have benefited from every hour spent with him.

To back up my perception of his teaching skills, I need only to point out that while i averaged at around 50% at my first matches, I now average at around 80%, often resulting in a top finish in local matches and an upper third or maybe even the top ten finish at international matches.

IPSC shooting is both expensive and demanding, not unlike golf or tennis. It is therefore just common sense to have a coach in IPSC as many golfers or tennis players have in their sports, and maybe even more so, since our "balls" are indeed spent as they are sent down range. Why not make every one count in the pursuit of becoming a better shooter? I have lots of fun shooting IPSC, whether it be training or match, but after all it is more fun if I can be my best.

Best regards
